Mining Guardian — Privacy Policy

Mining Guardian ("the app") is a companion application for the Mining Guardian appliance, published by Big Star Power ("we"). This policy explains what information the app handles. The short version: we collect nothing.

Data we collect

None. The app contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking frameworks, and no third-party SDKs. We operate no cloud service that receives data from the app. Nothing you do in the app is transmitted to Big Star Power.

Where your data goes

In live operation, the app communicates exclusively with your own Mining Guardian appliance over your own private network (a Tailscale/WireGuard network you control). Fleet data, scan results, and action approvals travel directly between your phone and your appliance and are stored only on your appliance.

What is stored on your device

• Device pairing token — created when you pair with your appliance, stored in the iOS Keychain on this device only. You can delete it anytime (Settings → Unpair this device), and revoke it server-side from your appliance's console.
• Connection settings — your appliance's address and a device name, stored locally on the phone.

Demo mode

The built-in demo runs entirely on the device against a fictional dataset bundled inside the app. It makes no network connections of any kind.

Children

The app is a professional tool for mining-fleet operators and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
